Bryan Fire Department provides fire protection and Advanced Emergency Medical Care to the approximate 60,000 residents covering 49 square miles of the City of Bryan Texas.  Bryan Fire Department also provides Advanced Emergency Medical Care to the northern half of unincorporated Brazos County. Bryan Fire Department has four fire station with the fifth station planned to be open some time in 2009 - 2010. We operate 4 engines, 3 medic units with dual paramedics, 1 95' aerial ladder truck, 1 rescue truck, 2 rescue boats, 1 Special Operations truck, and 1 command unit. Bryan Fire Department works a 24/48 shift with three shifts made up of about 100 firefighters.

Bryan Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 1204, works in close conjunction with BFD's administration to help firefighters remain safe while on duty.
